Post 32 Projects
Thank you for visiting the Post 32 Projects page.
Undertaking projects requires donations of time, resources, and skills. No project should be undertaken without a generous state of mind. The best projects also require firm commitment from at least one person. We have committed ourselves to three major, difficult projects. None of them are weekend projects where volunteers show up with shovels. All of them will enrich our country, community, and ourselves.
Our source for funds to undertake these ambitious projects is an annual auction.
The History of Post 32 required diligent research and willingness to encourage others in our community to share stories about men and women who left to serve their country. A few never returned, and we have a moral duty to remember them. A few were damaged in body and spirit and we are obligated to remember them. Most became productive members of the community. Post 32 attempts to remember them all. It is a project we will never complete.
The Legion Hall Historic Renovation is underway. Originally built as a church in 1922, the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. When completed, Legion Hall will be the home of Post 32, a community meeting hall, a museum displaying Greybull's history of service to our country, and a gallery of interesting artifacts and the best works conceived and crafted by people in our community.
The Donald J. Ruhl Memorial is nearing completion. The project began in 2006 and was dedicated on Donald's birthday in 2009.

A Few Great Things About Greybull
An annual fund raising auction
Our first annual auction, A Few Great Things About Greybull, was held November 4, 2017, at the Elks Hall in Greybull. Gary Nash auctioned 120 Great Things About Greybull. Our next auction will be November 2, 2018. Post 32 is receiving items of value at Legion Hall, 130 North 5th Street. Please contact Post 32 to ensure the hall is open to receive your donation.
We seek original art, well-crafted items, and items of value with a local connection. We hope to provide a creative venue for people to dispose of things they value enough to pay storage fees although they may not have seen them for decades. For example, consider the old turntable-based sound system that was saved and placed in storage bbut had to be replaced by a digital audiosystem. Or consider the expensive, practically new sleeper sofa that cannot fit through the door of the new house that was reluctantly placed in storag. We especially seek works by local people whose inspiration and careful crafting add value to local resources. Post 32 hopes the annual event will evolve in the direction of art and fine crafts, and we hope veterans will become contributors in significant numbers.
Post 32 is accepting donated items by appointment.
